Early Life and Failures

Sandeep Maheshwari was born in New Delhi on September 28, 1980. His father had an aluminium business which was shut down due to losses, when Sandeep was in ninth grade. His family struggled during that time, he did different small jobs to help his family.

He was a very reserved young guy in school, he grappled with self-esteem issues, and his positive aspirations were often overshadowed by the shadows of doubt.  Sandeep changed his school just after the class 10th. He met a girl named Ruchi in class 11th. Ruchi is his confidante and later, his girlfriend and now wife. Her presence ignited a spark of confidence within him. This was the first turning point of his life.

He was a troublemaker student as he instantly fought with people. There was an incident when the PT teacher beat him for no reason, he opened his shirt and shouted “Beat as much as you want”. Although later the faculty said sorry to him for his mistake. 

Due to hardships, he started taking cigarettes and had many bad habits. he left all of it when he realized how bad it was.

Despite facing financial hardships that loomed over his family, Sandeep's indomitable spirit led him to try different businesses to help his family early in life.  He started a student counselling business just after 12th standard but failed fully as Sandeep himself had no experience at that time.

He started a marketing agency that marketed various kinds of domestic products. His new marketing agency did not fare well in the market and shut down.

Sandeep wanted to pursue MBA but due to the long duration and high expenses, he decided to do something similar to MBA. He did a sales course but left it in the middle. He learned the things he needed. This was the second turning point in his life.

In 2002 he also started an event management company with one of his friends who deceived him. He faced a major loss of 50,000 rs. 

He is a college dropout and was pursuing B.com at Kirorilal College of Delhi University. For his financial expenses, he did modelling to earn money at 19. He left it soon after he found out how unstable the modeling career is. This was the time when he realized his fondness and passion for photography. He wanted to pursue photography but financial constraints did not let him do so. Sandeep left his college in his third year. He did a 2-week photography course. 

He worked as a freelance photographer who clicked pictures of aspiring models and later founded a company named Mash Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd. to co-found a consultancy firm. The main objective of the firm was to create portfolios. However, the business shut down due to losses. This was the time when he was facing continues setbacks, but young Sandeep had decided to fight with every failure.

In 2003, Sandeep authored a marketing book and ventured into a consultancy firm, but encountered challenges leading him back to photography. Yet, he remained undeterred in his journey.

In 2006, Sandeep transformed his passion for photography into a thriving business. He founded a company named ImagesBazaar. He truly left an indelible mark on the entrepreneurial landscape. ImagesBazaar emerged as the world's largest collection of Indian stock images, a testament to Sandeep's visionary leadership and unwavering determination.
