What is MetaShot?

MetaShot is a Bengaluru-based startup that has revolutionised the way physical sports are experienced. It has been bringing them into living rooms through innovative technology since August 2022. 

Who are the founders of MetaShot?

The founders of MetaShot are Ranjit Behra, Prince Thomas and Ajith Sunny. They made the world's first console-like cricket game.

Ranjit Behra

Ranjit Behra holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, where he studied from 1999 to 2003. His education laid a strong foundation in technical and analytical skills and equipped him with the knowledge to excel in engineering and technology-driven roles.  

Ranjit Behra is an accomplished professional with extensive experience across various domains, including entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and consultancy. 

Currently, he is the Co-Founder of MetaShot, a metaphysical gaming company in Bengaluru, developing innovative gaming solutions like a motion-sensor cricket bat that brings the joy of physical sports into digital spaces. 

Before MetaShot, he served as Head of Marketing at MyGate and held key roles at BankBazaar and Aditya Birla Online Fashion, leading digital and performance marketing strategies. With expertise in product management and analytics, he has also worked as a Senior Manager at iQuanti and Zivame. Ranjit also co-founded and directed egully.com, an online shopping platform dealing with multiple categories, where he spearheaded strategies in sales, marketing, and market development. Earlier, as a Consultant at Oliver Wyman, he gained exposure to global financial and commodity markets, with his insights featured in prominent publications. He began his career as an Executive Engineer at Larsen & Toubro, focusing on product design and development. 

Prince Thomas

Prince Thomas holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Savitribai Phule Pune University, where he actively participated in the Robotics team and completed a project on an electronic battery charge monitor system. He further enhanced his academic credentials with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Christ University of Bangalore. 

Prince Thomas is a dynamic professional with a rich and diverse career spanning over a decade. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of MetaShot. Before MetaShot, he held leadership roles at BankBazaar India for over seven years, including Deputy Vice President of Marketing and Head of Brand Marketing, where he spearheaded impactful campaigns. 

He also founded Treetins in 2013, As a Co-Founder of Treetins Internet Private Limited, he fostered genuine social connections through innovative digital platforms and earned widespread recognition from the press and users alike. His earlier career included strategic planning roles at renowned agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather and Creativeland Asia, where he contributed to the growth of iconic brands like Audi, Asian Paints, and Bru. Prince's journey reflects his passion for innovation, strategic thinking, and building meaningful consumer experiences.

Ajith Sunny

Ajith completed his schooling from Rajagiri Higher Secondary School in 2004. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from st. Alberts in 2007. He also pursued MBA in  Marketing and Sales from Christ University of Bangalore.

Ajith has a diverse and accomplished professional background spanning over a decade in various leadership and entrepreneurial roles. His career started as Territory Manager at DHL Global Forwarding where he worked till 2014.  He also worked as executive director. He has been the Managing Director of Ivy Hotels and Resorts since February 2016. Ajith is also the Founder of Gr8 Sports, a venture established in August 2018 aimed at becoming India's premier tennis cricket bat manufacturer.  Also as an investor, he supported entrepreneurial ventures through a family fund (2017–2021) and was self-employed for 2 years.
