In 2006, he graduated with a degree in electronics engineering from Mumbai University, followed by an MBA from IIM Lucknow in 2009. After completing his education, Kiran gained international exposure by working abroad. However, his entrepreneurial aspirations eventually brought him back to India. Returning to his roots, Kiran closely analyzed the operations of his family’s well-established ice cream brand, "Apsara," which was founded in 1971 by his father and uncles. He observed the growing consumer preference for healthier, no-sugar ice cream options due to increasing health concerns. Kiran decided to leverage this trend by creating his own innovative brand. In 2022, he launched "Go Zero," a brand dedicated to guilt-free indulgence.

The brand promises velvety scoops of ice cream that come with zero added sugar, no preservatives, and no artificial ingredients. The idea behind Go Zero is to let consumers savour their favourite desserts without compromising on health or taste.

In the latest season of Shark Tank India Season 4, Kiran Shah was seen. He pitched Go Zero to the panel of esteemed investors. Seeking an investment of ₹1 crore for 1% equity, at the valuation of his brand at ₹100 crore. 

During the pitch, Kiran shared his goal of generating a revenue of ₹33 crore within the year. His confidence, combined with the innovative concept of Go Zero, piqued the interest of all the Sharks, including Anupam Mittal, who is lactose intolerant. This remarkable feat underscores the universal appeal of Go Zero’s mission to deliver healthier dessert options.

After a long discussion, Go Zero secured ₹1 crore in funding on Shark Tank India from Aman Gupta in exchange for a 1.5% stake, valuing the company at ₹66.67 crore.
