Early health struggles
Saluja defines her personality as a cook and server of good food. But this came to an end when she found out about her health. At the tender age of 13, Priyasha was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). It is a condition that demands careful attention to a person’s diet. Being a Punjabi, she is fond of eating and cooking varieties of food from her childhood. Despite her love for diverse cuisines and sweets, health restrictions posed a formidable challenge.
Yet, adversity often sparks innovation, and Priyasha embarked on a culinary exploration to create healthy and delicious snacks. She experimented with tasty food with healthy ingredients or tailored ones for people who are allergic to certain ingredients. First, she delved into the art of crafting treats that catered to her dietary needs. Gradually her joy of cooking intertwined with her innate desire to serve others who have been suffering like her. It ignited a passion that later defined her future entrepreneurial journey.
While she pursued a career in advertising post-education, her heart resided in the kitchen. She was working in an advertising company but left her well-paid job. In 2019, fuelled by her steady passion, she took the bold leap to establish her venture. She had nothing at that time but savings of 50,000 and a fervent determination to redefine the culinary landscape.
She went to the market and bought an oven, blender, tray and other important equipment. She asked her friend to make a logo of the Company, which her friend designed in a circular shape. Priyansha says she didn’t even have 2000 rs when the printer asked her if she wanted to cut the logo in circular form. She cut all the logos on her own for around 6 months. Her hard work paid and now she is running the company on profit.

Priyasha Saluja in Shark Tank India
Priyasha's vision extends beyond mere business; it is a fervent belief in making healthy eating not an exception but the norm. With this vision, she recently appeared in Shark Tank India season 3. She served her company’s products to every shark and they all liked the taste and ingredients. However, while Vineeta found it expensive according to the quantity, Anupam found issues with the packaging and colour.
She appealed for 60 lakhs for 2% equity at a valuation of 30 crores. Her ambition is to scale her venture and propagate her mission far and wide. The Sharks were amazed to hear about Priyasha's profits, she defined it as "It's magic”. Vineeta offered her 60 lakhs for 10% equity at the valuation of 6 crores. Deepinder stood out, because of the conflict between Zomato and Blinkit. While Aman went all alone and offered a deal, Anuman Joined Vineeta's offer.
In total 3 sharks offered her deal. Aman offered 10 lakhs equity at 2% equity and 50 lakhs debt at 12% interest for 2 years at the valuation of 5 crores. However, the founder did not accept it as the interest rate was high.
After negotiations the deal closed with Aman, and the founder accepted his offer of 60 lakhs for 5% equity at the valuation of 12 crores. In Priyasha Saluja is not just an entrepreneur but a culinary crusader, a trailblazer redefining the contours of gastronomy. Her journey exemplifies the transformative power of untasty food Survivor to Healthy Tasty Server. Today, the Cinnamon Kitchen not only indulges taste buds, but also nourishes souls with the essence of Priyasha's confident spirit.
